So, here's the deal

So, right now, in addition to writing this blog every few weeks, I'm also an editor for an online women's website that features articles and blogs about fashion, beauty, celebrities, lifestyle, and other fun stuff. It's called Glam.com. Check it. Though not many people are visiting Totally Tracey, I felt I should share this with you, in the spirit of full disclosure. So there you have it.

That said, I've spent the past 5 days at my first Fashion Week in New York. I've been lucky enough to attend a bunch of shows and interview some fun celebs. We're actually keeping a VERY cool blog about the shows on Glam.com. It contains video from the shows, celebrity interviews (some are video!) and fun gossip from the Fashion Week tents. If you some time, browse through it. Here's the link

If you don't want to browse, here are some highlights:

- Interview with Carmen Electra
- Sienna Miller Photos
- Video Q&A with Phillip Lim, designer
- Video From the Oscar de la Renta show (amazing!)

That's all for now...

And I miss getting comments from you all! So, if you feel like sharing, share!

Oh my god, super cute.

So, I went to KennethCole.com to find the coat I just bought to show someone and THESE fabulous shoes were on the homepage. I LOVE them. They seem a year late and kind of a rip off of the Louboutin wedge espadrille, but they're still different enough to merit a second look (and possibly a purchase.) I actually bought the steve madden rip-offs of the louboutin wedges last summer and love them (though they only saw the light of day ONE time), but these seem cuter to me. I LOVE the strap as opposed to the tie around the ankle last season's pairs seem to favor. And the heel. Oh, the heel!!!!

I love them. And had to share.

These Boots Were Made for Walking ...

So, here's the deal. I just bought some Prada boots and I love them. They're knee-high, black suede, with a wedge heel and DROP-DEAD GORGEOUS. I love them with my whole heart. I'd wear these suckers to my wedding if I could. I've searched high and low for a picture but I just cannot find one. But they're the softest, most beautiful pair of boots ever.

I'm sharing this with you because it's been one of those experiences where you buy something and think about it for like 2 weeks afterward ... wondering, did I spend too much? Should I really have gotten them? Do they look as good as the sales guy swears they did? (the guy was such a tool.) But most of all, it's one of those purchases where you love them so much and you look at them everyday and think, TODAY IS THE DAY I'M GOING TO WEAR THESE. But You don't. Cause you're scared of ruining them. Do you know what I'm talking about? Does this happen to you? Each time I buy a new bag, I have to talk myself into carrying it the first few times. Otherwise I'd just end up loving it in the box it came in.

Anyway, I'm hoping to break that pattern with these boots. They're gorgeous, they're perfect for New York and I'm going to wear them! A LOT! You heard me say it here!

But I think I'll wait until next week ... :)

UPDATE: Vuitton Rings

So, in a very fun twist, my mom got me one of the Louis Vuitton rings I blogged about for Christmas. It was SO FUN of her and I love that she read my blog. That's the fun news. The unfin news is, it was ridiculously large on my finger. I tried it on and pretended I was in a meeting pointing at something and everyone in my family agreed that it was just too darn big. She actually wanted to get me the black one but it was sold out completely across the US. After searching high and low, there was ONE store in Missori that still had some. She ordered the clear one but pink was sent. She alerted them to the mistake and they sent a clear one too so I was actually able to see and try on both colors. They really are GORGEOUS in person and the detail inside the ring is so neat. But we all agreed that black would have been a different story and it just looked silly on my hand.

But, how cool that my mom even got it?

Still Lovin' Louis

So, how cute are these rings?!? I was flipping through Instyle on the plane and got to their gift guide which featured these two gorgeous and totally fun rings by Louis Vuitton. Love the little trinkets and love the colors (tt's also available in clear.) But seriously, the best part? They're only $180. What!?! Isn't that a bit much for a resin ring that I honestly could buy for like $10 at my little neighborhood boutique? Well, yes, actually it is. But you must look at if from another point of view. You're buying (or receiving - just give the hubby a hint) a designer piece of jewelry. Personally, I think they are so cute and the little LV in gold makes my heart flutter!

Have a happy thanksgiving everyone!

Football, Girl Style

So, pretty much during football season guys become unresponsive. (This is not actually true in my own relationship but for the sake of this post, I'm playing along with the stereotype). And I know lots of girls who, to spend some time with their man, sit and watch games on sunday too. I also know a lot of girls who pick who they root for based on the colors of the uniforms. So in honor of the football season, I'm going to select some of my favorite uniforms in the NFL.

Houston Texans: I love the colors, I love the simplicity. Apparently these guys suck, but at least they look good doing it!

Washington Redskins: Because I am from DC and it would be weird to exclude them. Turns out they suck too this year. (Their maroon uniforms are actually cooler but I'm over looking for football photos at this point)

Dallas Cowboys: As a Redskins fan, you're raised to loathe the cowboys, and deep down I do. But I do like their colors!

Atlanta Falcons: I love the colors here too - black, red, and white. Plus, the quarterback went to Va Tech, my boyfriend's alma mater, so I hear about him all the time. Apparently Michael Vick is REALLY good. (like I care.)

I think next time I'll pick my favorite cheerleading uniforms!

fabulous fendi

So, I've always generally purchased Prada, Louis or Gucci ... never really straying into the Fendi arena. But, hot damn, I might this year. Looking through the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book (yes the same catalog I found the black dress I thought about wearing to my wedding until I was talked out of it by fashion-friendly and concerned friends), I found the bag I must have this winter season. Just look at this masterpiece of patent leather and gold hardware! Look at this drop-dead gorgeous bag that literally screams, "Carry me!" I mean seriously, when you squint your eyes and look at this photo, doesn't that kinda look like me holding the bag? And don't I look hot?

To the Paddington, I say, you're so last year. (Sorry, my ex love.) And instead, I turn to Fendi. You might cost $1730 but I've heard something about future spouses giving each other gifts on the day of the wedding. Think Nick might be into that?

(blogger's note: he definitely would not be and might actually break up with me if he even sees I wrote that down thus meaning it was a thought that actually entered my head.)
